HAVEN

Haven was the realm of the dead, created by Charon to provide sanctuary for the spirits of deceased mortals who did not wish to be subject to the predations of the servants of Heaven. Haven was not a part of God's Creation and was separated from it by the Veil, which no angel could penetrate by force.
