| Aristarchus was one of the seven original archangels
who, like Samael and Raphael, received the Word direct
from the Almighty himself. The Archangel of Tools,
Aristarchus became increasingly frustrated with God's
edict not to appear before man, since Aristarchus knew
that his intervention would be of enormous benefit to
this young species. Samael played on these frustrations
in council, drawing Aristarchus to his side. To aid the
war effort, Aristarchus constructed a mighty clockwork
army, bolstering the rebels numbers. Prior to the fall,
he was forced to watch all of his creations smashed
before his eyes, though there are rumours that some may
have survived in the hidden places of the world. |

| Charlie Windran is a talented chip designer. He could
have been great, but was crippled by his gambling
addiction. Getting further and further into debt to fuel
his craving, he turned to criminal gangs for money, in
return for favours. His need was a weakness Aristarchus
could exploit to find his way back into the world. |

| Separated from Aristarchus while exploring Haven, Charlie Windran
chose to accept death rather than renew his bond with a demon. As a
result, when Aristarchus escaped from the Abyss for the second time he
